2023 'Flu' and Covid vaccinations

We are starting our vaccination clinic on Monday 3 April for both the 'flu' vaccination and the Covid additional dose.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you are well when you attend for your vaccination as the nurses will not vaccinate anyone who is unwell.

For all vaccinations, we require patients to wait for 20 minutes post vaccination to ensure you do not have an adverse reaction to the vaccination.

'Flu' vaccinations

These are for patients aged over 6 months.

  • The criteria for receiving a funded vaccination are as follows (please ask to speak with one of our nurses if you are unsure whether you qualify or not):
    • Tamariki aged 6 months to 12 years old
    • People aged 65 years and over
    • Māori and Pacific people aged 55 years and over
    • Pregnant people
    • People who have a long-term medical condition like diabetes, asthma, or a heart condition
    • People with serious mental health or addiction needs
  • Having received a funded vaccination previously does not always mean that your vaccination will be funded again this year
  • If you are not eligible for a funded 'flu' vaccination, the charge is $45.00

If you are over 65 there is an alternative vaccine available called 'Fluquad AD' that may improve the immune response that you get. Please note, this vaccine is not funded and costs $55.00.
