If you think we can do better we would like to hear from you. This need not be in the form of a complaint; it could just be something we need to know about to help uncover a problem. Suggestions on how to improve our service are always welcome. Your perspective of our service gives us an opportunity to see what we do in a different light.
Complaints are treated seriously and dealt with in a confidential manner. If you have a complaint you may write to or speak with our Practice Manager. All complaints will be acknowledged in writing within five working days of receipt of the complaint unless resolved within that time.
City GPs reserves the right to twenty working days to investigate any complaint and respond to the complainant. If more time is required, we will advise the complainant before the end of twenty working days with the reason and an estimate of what additional time will be required. The complainant will be advised of the progess of their complaint each month following until resolution.
Complainants will be informed of our complaints procedure and the fact that they can make complaints to the Health and Disability Commissioner (if the complaint relates to service) or to the Privacy Commissioner (if the complaint relates to privacy). Pamphlets and information are available in the waiting room.
